I just read an article about Great White sharks in New England waters. I know they inhabit East Coast waters but I am curious, do Killer Whales also inhabit or frequent Eastern waters? I always assumed they were Pacific natives.
Killer Whales on the East Coast?

They were in the Long Island Sound for a good part of the summer back in the 70's. I'm glad that they didn't come back

When I was younger back in the 70's and the early 80's they would occasionally show up on Stellwagon bank.
The guys I knew that were older than I was then had pictures of them they took while out commercial fishing.
I would expect that if the grey seal population keeps growing as fast as it is around ere and with these cold winters that eventually they may make a return, along with more great whites.

I saw a group of them 3 miles south of Fire Island 7 years ago
