do you think that rod would make a good shore fluke bucktail rod? for up to 2oz or so?
Don't want to jack the thread, I was looking into these rods and was curious, are you going to use it for steelies or for Stripers?

I believe the gloomis BB serires was on gl2 blanks. The newer series is now BBR on gl3 blanks.
These Back Bouncing rod can throw quite a bit of lead (5 or 6 strength rating). Light weight with lots of backbone to fight heavy fish.
I know the gloomis BBR series is available through some stores but cost $$.
Good Luck finding one at a good price.

The older rods are GL3's the new stuff is garbage and it's a GL2
By the way they are great for fluke!

Triplex, you know i have one ( close, GLoomis BBR-966-C) but its not for sale My favorite Tog stick no doubt about it.
Seriously, its a very hard blank to find. Good luck and if i come across one i will let you know. I do know one guy who has one, same guy i got it off of in the summer 07, but he is in the flea market so i have to wait for it to start again.
