It was my grandfathers and I just got it 2 days ago. I used to shoot ducks on the ocean with it as a kid.(pre steel shot days). 12 gauge. It’s marked LC Smith Field Fulton NY in the barrel. im unsure of the chokes, but I seem to recall my grandfather telling me it is full and full. If it is, I’d love to see a good gunsmith about getting choke tubes installed if possible, or it reamed to a more open configuration . Then when she received an additional bonus in Nov. she ordered me a Henry lever action in Brushed stainless and Black walnut. It is chambered in .38 / .357. She knows I didn't have any lever actions and thought they were PRETTY. She surprised me with all of these since she has her own F.I.D. and is not uncomfortable purchasing firearms. Jim Great wife! Sounds like you have a great lady! i don’t have any military rifles to speak of, but maybe 25-30 years ago my wife came home from a yard sale with a moisan nagant. We were living in WA state at the time. She got it for practicaly nothing (maybe $50 tops, I forget). I wasn’t that into the gun and we gave it to my buddy out there that liked that kind of stuff. He still has it and mentioned it to me when I called him for Christmas this year. The guns I posted are from splitting up some stuff my family had with my brother. Dad’s getting older, doesn’t hunt much anymore, and these have been sitting and deteriorating and he wanted them out of the house for my brother and I to use.. i also got a marlin 336 lever gun in 35 Remington and the only military rifle, this Swedish Mauser., plus a few other rifles I may post up later if I have time. I have pretty much the identical gun from my great uncle. Field grade, 28", mod and full. When I got it, there were the typical stock cracks you see in old LCs. Had that all fixed. You might want to check the chamber length. Mine had short chambers. I use 2 1/2" shells in it. Yours might be newer.

Mr. Bigdeal
My night stand gun........... Edited December 27, 2017 by Mr. Bigdeal "Law enforcement’ is not something sovereign citizens seize from police officers. It is a societal function that citizens delegate to civil police. In so doing, we do not abdicate our own sovereignty, nor our duties as citizens. Ultimate responsibility is still ours. When those we hire as our “Protectors” are either unwilling or unable to perform that function at the critical moment, there is no law, nor standard, that says we cannot perform it for ourselves"........ Whatever genius came up with the idea to dry the wood with salt should be tarred and feathered. Such a nice gun that i'd re stock ( look for a correct period one mid sixties ) and re blue...assuming the bore and action are good. I’m afraid what I’m goimg to find when I take the stock off. Edited December 27, 2017 by jkrock "mother Theresa was a POS"-fish'nmagician

jkrock
Some other miscellaneous I ended up with. Nothing great. Sentimental value only. Steven 820b 12 gauge pump was my late uncles. Winchester model 67 single shot 22. My first gun. I think I was 8 when I got it. 40 + years ago. Mossberg model 185k-a bolt action 20 gauge. Was my dad’s first gun given to him by his brother about 70 years ago. I think I shot my first rabbit and squirrel with it.
