Sunday morning after 7 am forget it, during the race they say it ain't bad, but after the race heading north is impossible. After the race I always head south for an extra night of fishing.

I live about 4 miles from the track after the race starts on sunday it's not bad to get around town but before that forget it!!! coming north after the race you will be sitting in heavy traffic for a couple of hours also. pick and choose wisely if you decide to go down

Thats what I always did. I use to have tickets to both races. We would leave at 6 am from IRI and head to the race, then head south afterwards because there's less traffic. Get an extra night of fishing in and head home in the morning.

you might try 301 out of middletown, down the eastern shore, then pick up 50 and work east. Pleasant ride, smooth. Wasn't much radar in mid july.

Traffic heading west on 50 and over the Bay Bridge is nightmarish on a Sunday evening after a Dover race, I'm told.
