This is good news and convenient. You can now buy your seasonal fishing and hunting license online at the CT DEP website. Below is the article that appeared today in the New London Day newspaper.

I haven't tried this indepth but it seems you have to have a few forms of ID to get it, including SS#. I'm not so sure I like this.
Update: just tried using their system and I didn't have success.

I got mine there yesterday as well and did not like the extra personal info that they wanted as compared to purchasing at your town hall. It is convenient but the actual license you print out is like 5"x5" which is quite impractical. I still miss the little plastic holders with the safety pins they used to give you. As far as ID it was one of several forms icluding drivers license and SS#

Good idea by the DEP. I'm still getting mine at my B&T as they get a small % of the sale (or so I've been told).

I just purchased mine online and I found a way to shrink it to a manageable size by printing it to a file then altering it using MS Word or an image editor. I also made multiple copies so I can put them in tackle boxes and other places. Hopefully it won't be rejected if I'm questioned. I guess I'll keep a full size version and my shrunk version.
