Never too windy. Unless you are set on fishing a certain spot that you will need to throw straight into the wind. I usually won't fish out front if its been blowing onshore 20 kts for sevral hours, but if its the beginning of a 20 knot blow, you better believe i'll try my best to be there. There's plenty of spots you can move to get the wind at your back if you need to. But, the wind is usually agood thing to a point, creating wave action and currents. its usually more that the water becomes unfishable than the wind gets too strong for too long. I think its supposed to go west tomorrow. That will calm the surf down and may be a very good thing right now.

I was on a jetty once during a honkin NE wind when all the fish wanted were Bombers. Problem was that the wind was so strong your plug would land behind you on the cast (no chit!) That was the night I first learned about loading Bomber lures. The guys who had em absolutely hammered big fish, the rest of us watched.

So the answer is, it's never too windy.

Don't wanna stray from topic, but how do ya load Bomber's and does it alter dramatically the swim action?

After the east winds over the past few days Im looking forward to friday and saturday when we forcasted to get a strong offshore wind. I have found that being around when the wind changs dramatically in direction and strength is productive.

If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.

When you cast east, and your lure lands to the west...

the correct answer is NEVER if your plug can hit the water than fish wind creates some great opportunities.
