What's the best way to hook a night crawler?

What's the best way to hook a night crawler?
When I hook it the bluegill knock it off.

When I worm I normally hook the left side of the middle and then go through the right side of the middle and start to wrap the worm around the hook with both ends. After each wrap hooking the worm once through each time.

If that makes sense.

i get a double hooked rubber worm cremes dodad walmart 1.09 take therubber worm off and hook the night crawler to the hooks the same way the rubber one was now you have a head and tail hook bob

I always inflate my crawlers. I inflate thru the head then put the hook thru right behind the collar( sort of in the middle) then I go thru again near the tail.

For bass, a small hook through the tip of the head.
