Finally picked up a 16' dory for fishing the sound (95%) as well as on the Hudson and some trips to Rhody and the Cape. I was initially thinking I'd keep it on the trailer most of the time, but I love the convenience of running down and fishing after work, so am thinking about a slip or rack storage between Greenwich and Westport, on the sound for April to October 2021. I'd really appreciate any recommendations for marinas you've had good luck with on the CT side of the Western Sound. And come April, if anyone wants to hit the Norwalk Islands for stripers and blues, let me know!

Hello everyone, First post as a new member of the forum. My background: I put in a lot of time fishing the Cape & Islands 10-15 years ago. My usual shore haunts were the Canal, Bass River/Yarmouth area, and Nantucket. I also did some boat excursions around PTown & the Islands - all great times. Work took me away for about a decade, but I am now back in the Dartmouth/Wesport area, and if the fishing is going to be anything like I experienced this October, I am glad to be back! I am typically a bomber, eel and pencil/spook guy, but I have decided to spend some serious time with the fly rod next season. I got lucky on gear (found a 3-Tand T-90 on sale during Black Friday and a G-Loomis 4xPro Short Stix 9 wt on closeout) but I am looking for recs on a good all-purpose short head line to go with them. I'll be spending most of my time wading in & around moving water in Westport/Dartmouth targeting bass - I imagine I am going to be throwing a lot of clousers and sand eel patterns. Also want something I will be able to throw (from a boat) at Albies come fall. I imagine this means at least an intermediate and probably a sinking line. I would say I am a decent caster with plenty of room for improvement. What do you guys think? Best, StripeDoc
