  1. This is my newest DIY video series .... How to Sharpen Knives. It is a four video play list that will first discuss the basics, then one video for the diamond hone block (200 thru 600 grit), the whetstone (1000 and 6000 grit) and then the strop block that is infused with rouge. I realize that some of you have been doing this for a while but these are for the beginner/novice. The materials I am using are very affordable for the average homeowner who just wants to keep his/her kitchen knives sharp. The diamond hone block is really great for the rough grit grinding when you have an extremely dull knife and need to remove a lot of material. This works better for me than a rough grit whetstone because those wear away "dish" too quickly. The whetstone with both 1000 and 6000 grit also I think is a great choice. Finally, the strop block is a must have. I did not mention this in the video but I do not like the leather stropping straps or belts that people use. The results from the block are much better. The end of the stropping video will show you how sharp the knives can get. That Global knife has been only stropped for the past 6 months. So, I heard you guys after the first video regarding the length. These are only 3 min to 4:20 min. If anyone in the Monmouth area wants to sharpen some knives let me know. I will bring my stuff over so you can try it out. ** it would really help me if you guys would subscribe.
