Default drum fishing at the inlet

Anyone wanna join me? I've been gettin 20 to 40" drum on light surf tackle in the morning at the inlet. If anyone wants to come keep me company and enjoy the fun meet me at the access at 6am tomorrow morning.

Bring bait (FRESH mullet)

Just don’t catch them all! Save me a few, I’ll be down in 52 days to help and the inlet is my favorite place to fish.

I only saw one Saturday, it was small too, maybe 18" at most. The water got real cold and muddy, I think that chased the bait away which unturn kept the drum from coming in.

This is my first year really fishin at the inlet, I've been doing well too, but when you fish, do you fish for the big reds?

Not yet, I wasn't expecting them this early, so I didn't have a camera or tape/scale. I have a 28" tape on my cooler/rod rack and he was well over that so I was guessing 38" to 40". I was actually flounder fishing with a 4500C4 loaded with 20lb braid, I'm sure you can already imagine, but even the smaller ones have a nice tug!

I can't wait till October, I'll get some pics then! Hopefully a few 50"+ fish

This is totally off subject but its my thread so I doubt it matters.

They'll be there, the trouble is gettin to them. The wind we've been havin for about the last week has washed out the south part of the inlet, its still accessable, but I wouldn't recommend drivin down there unless you don't care about salt water on your truck.
