Hilton Hotel in Kitty Hawk

I called them and their pier is open to the public for fishing and has a tackle store. $5 per day fee. Does anyone know the length of the pier and has anyone fished it with any luck? We are heading down in a couple weeks so I thought I might give it a try.

I don't think its more than 500 feet long,best bet is Avalon Pier or Nags Head Pier.

Pre-Hilton, used to have the best breakfast on the Northern Beaches.

North side at daybreak is a good trout spot.

Very shallow around low tide and still has 2 pilings sticking up way out of the water off the end about 30 yards. It does not have a real end on it so casting/livebaiting doesn't happen. If you are staying at the hotel then give it a try around high tide. I would pay the extra $ and go to avalon.

I have stayed there and fished it many times in the past. I have done very well on pups there on the North side of it.

Thanks for the replys. I'm staying in Southern Shores and it will be a quick trip. I plan on going to Avalon Pier as well.
