Gonna be in Buxton 9/12-9/19, hoping to get another break and get down for another week in October.

Hoping to get some soundside kayak action in but would be just as happy to wadefish, surf fish or telling tall tales at a pub somewhere.

Rodanthe's just up the road. Could hook up one day. Lemme know.

Down here right now. Nothing but small spot, kingfish from the surf. Reports also state small blues and spanish macks from Rodonthe Pier, mostly on gottcha lures. Silver, pink and chartruse being the colors of choice.

Wiz, just stopped up at the pier to check things out for myself. I saw quite a few trigger fish caught and a couple of spainsh mackrel. I never seen a trigger before, kinda cool looking. They were caught on brown shrimp.
A kid about 10 years old must hooked into a large stingray as it started to spool him before his dad grabbed the rod and the fish broke off. The kid had a light rod with about 12lb test so it could of been a king or a cobia as well. Guys on the pier did say they saw a 4' ray earlier in the day swimming around. I'm heading up in the AM and I'll report back...........Bob

Thanks for the report... Never caught a Trigger either, have to check out the "Grilling" site for a taste review Probably a piling hugger, along with Sheepshead. Found an old thread in the Bottom fishing forum, that describes them as "Sunfish on Steroids", that taste like Lobster, and gets to a few lbs.... Good combination in my book

From other reports, seems to be picking up, as it's clearing from Bill. Nice pics of Blues, Flounder, and Pompano up to 3lbs

Hope it's good for the next couple days, as it looks like Danny is going to mess it up again...

Been waaaaaay too long, can't wait to fill my lungs with salt air

This is the report I get for "What's Happening" down there.... TL's!

Wiz, we caught triggers today and my son caught a sheepshead. Real cool looking fish! Shrimp was the only thing they wanted and you had to fish through a lot of small spot and croakers to get the bigger fish to hit. I'll post some pictures later. Right now we have our eye on Tropical Storm Danny!

Default Slow, slow, slow

On the beach in Frisco this week. Watching with binoculars...saw one small croaker and one tiny snapper. Slow, slow and slower here. Bill killed the spot and Danny will not help the sitcheeaashun.

Why nobody had a shoebox to take it home? What are doing, just looking for excuses.... Nice ramp, for quick jumps in the morning and afternoon...
