I tried the 6" pearl white squid a couple years back. Nothing, Zero, then replaced with a section of finger mullet, and hooked up before I could get back up the beach where we were standing. Tried it again later in the week with the same results. I was fishing the Fort Macon Area in Atlantic beach.
I have caught Pups on gulp while jigging for specks in the surf and back up in the creeks fishing the grass banks and oyster rocks. But I'm going to say, I'm NOT a big fan of gulp baits. They do work very well, and do catch fish, I just prefer other soft bait better (old dog--new trick) |
