I'm coming down sunday for a week of surf fishing if that TD doesn't ruin the end of the week. What's hitting right now? Spec'd trout? Blues? Sharks?

I was down in hatteras last week, and only caught small stuff off of the lighthouse, tuesday two guys caught fair sized sharks and one guy hooked on to something, fought it for 20 minutes and lost it. I caught everything small, spot, croakers, whiting, pompano, using some small brown shrimp caught the day before. Tuesday was boiling hot, fished till 9:30am and that was hot enough! will come back in october!

I just got back from the Beach.... spent the day fishing Clatsop Spit at the mouth of the Columbia in Oregon. Picked up 8 small Starry Flounder and 22 small Red Tail Perch. Nothing big so all catch and release.

Fished Nags Head Area Sat and Sunday. Spanish and blues in the surf. Picked up some speckled and gray trout in the sound.

Fished two nights so far, and only one spot and a finger mullet (how the heck did he even hook himself?) to show for it. I tried cutting the spot up for bait but only the crabs seemed interested. Very little structure on the beach and hard to find any holes except at low tide.

water temperature dropped today and tonight the bite was much better. Mess of spot. I cut one up for bait but nothing bigger was interested.

throw the spot chunk right behind the breakers or use sand fleas. Should be some puppy drum chewing
