I am going to be on Nags Head the second week of August. Although i will deffinitly be hitting up the the local piers, I will most likely be doing most of my fishing off the beach. I have a 10' lamiglas with 35lb braid and a penn sargus 6000 series reel. Is that going to be enough for down there? Should I be fishing with lures? If so what type? Or bait? If so what type an what type of rigs work best? Lastly in the second week of August what type of fish am I fishing for? What do I have the beast chance of catching off the beach? I have no interest in catching sharks from the beach thats just nutz.
Thanks for the help guys can wait to get down there. Last edited by lisurfer523 : 07-14-2009 at 01:56 PM. |

I've been doing that trip for 20 years. I get Bluefish & Spanish Macks from the surf, with an oddball Striper throwing metal.
