Default First Yak Splash of the Year

I'm splashing the yak for the first time at Oregon Inlet tomorrow. If anyone is interested in joining please PM me and I will give more details.

I will have a progress report and pictures in the next few days.

My first winter was brutal. We are def outta here by this time next year. Theres no good work, the economy sucks, people from VA and rental companies have ruined this coastal community. I can't believe how rarely I actually see the water. I saw it more living in New Hampshire and I lived 20 miles from the beach.

Peoples mentality here is pretty bogus. I do not intend to offend anyone but just because you are a local doesn't entitle you special treatment. I have never been any where before where people just thought they deserved more than the next person because they have lived here for 20 years. Our fore fathers stole the land from the natives they are the only people he deserve special treatment they were actually here first.

On the plus side more often than not people are really nice, we have met some great people here. The weather is pretty nice but too damn windy. Way too damn windy.

Actually it's funny, when people ask where I'm from and I say "just outside of boston" they laugh and ask my why the hell am I Here?

Most of all I miss the New England style of surfcasting, rocky perches and sandy stretches and a bag of wood plugs. Momma I'm coming home.
