I'm sure its in salvo cause of the name, but I never heard an exact location, or best ways to fish it.

Middle of the night on a hot summer evening. Can be found in any deep slough in the tri-village area. Bring big baits, big reels, big rods and a strong back

Is this monster fish really out there or just local legend from the 70's and 80's? If the latter, it seems unlikely to me that the same huge shark is still cruising the same stretch of beach it was 20 some years ago.
Either way, I'd sure love to see it or catch it! |

Man I haven't heard of the salvo hole monster in 10 or more years. Wow. That was a big discussion on a (possibly now defunct) other fishing site dedicated to outer banks fishing. A couple people there had first hand experience with late night unstoppable fish from the beach. It was in salvo at a particularly deep hole right off the beach. Most likely a large shark (or multiple large sharks attracted to the area by the hole) but no one ever even got it in close enough to see it.
