Question Help Me! Is anybody catching anything off the beach?

I'm thinking of driving down to the outter banks over the next two weeks. I see some decent weather coming up. I'm wondering if anyone is catching anything off the beach. Are the Stripers around?

don't plan your trips based on the internet

if you think conditions are good then by all means go fish. line up bait before you go tho, that's pretty scarce.

stripers are close by offshore and can come in at any time, good conditions increase your odds.

i have caught stripers off the beach in late feb before.

if i were to go (but i'm not) i'd like carova or oi.

If you want to catch some red drum there are about 3000 or so off Bear Island and Brown's Island.

There are fish in Hatteras too. Didn't land any but had some good hits and pulled off a couple nice fish on lures today.

These no fish reports are bogus I have seen some really nice feeding activity well within casting range of the beach. I was dismayed not to have a rod in the cable truck. I tend to see one or two blitzes a week just doing cable installs.

Just my two cents

I am new to this particular forum but I have been on the delmarva forum quite a bit. Mostly just to read. I think I'm coming down to OBX the first week of March for a couple of days just to check it out for the first time. Would it be worth my while to bring a pole to fish the beach or even a pier? To find bait and tackle stores google would be my best bet? Thanks Ken
