I will be in the Kill Devil Hills area Feb 16-20th and would like to drop the yak in somewhere and wet a line. Any suggestions?

possible big stripers in the ocean. more than likely you will have to paddle your butt off to get them if they are available. on the other side of the island you might be able to get an early puppy drum or trout in the sound. the water would have to warm significantly for that though. I think we started catching them at that time last year but the water and season was warmer. you also might be able to get into some smaller stripers in the sound around some of the bridges.
