The first meeting of the Spotted (Speckled) Sea Trout Advisory Committee will be on Feb. 12th in Little Washington at 6:00pm at the NCDENR offices in Washington Square Mall.
At last weeks DMF meeting at Carolina Beach the stock assessment was given and for the years of 1991-2006, speckled trout are considered to be overfished. This year some netters have hit them hard in the creeks off the Neuse and Pamlico. Almost sounds like the same ones from last year that rubbed everyone's nose in the red drum loopholes. |
