Hello all,
New member, will be spending sometime in Duck this summer (early June), wondered what sort of things may be swimming in the waters near shore as well as off shore? TNX |

Possible Drum, but Blues, Sea Mullet, Flounder Maybe Spanish, sharks depending on where you end up fishing. When you get there, go out at low tide and study the beach. There will be holes and slews, remember where they are, that is where the fish will be at high tide.
Also the further south you go to fish, the water will be warmer, a couple degrees at that time of year, matters. Bait will range from bunker, shrimp, blood-worms, and the fake baits like Gulp and fish-bites work. Sinker size is determining by wind and water current.

from Boats there should be cobia, black tips etc near shore. Offshore can be excellent dolphin or YFT time.
Back country plenty of speckled trout and bluefish.
