Default They are here boys

Finally found a school close in to cast metal to. 5 of us had our limit before 9.00am fish were in the 35-40lb range chasing a school of peanut bunker.
Life don't get any better.
Forget Hatteras, north of Duck is all I'm saying.

KKT, I could not verify your story. The boats fishing close to shore caught 20-30lb fish. How did you find bigger ones?

John, KKT posted on a VA Beach forum that they caught 4 more this AM up at the Va fence this morning. I will call BS on that report too. Said they were caught on metal. The only fishers (with rods) that I saw today were spiking rods with bait.

The Dory boat guys have a drop net season now, not beach seine, like I thought. That meant they would launch from the beach go out & set a net, pick it up later & come back to shore. Given that they pick the net up out in the water, how did they get that pile of dog sharks on the beach? Why would they bring them back to the beach to dump them?

As far as I heard, only charter boats caught fish, no limits.
