Latest on Beach Access at Hatteras

44 to point closed
Just to let those who are coming down know. The turtle nest before you get to the high tide pass around has reached the hatch window and has closed access to the Point via 44.

You can still go over 44 and fish a small stretch. You can access the point by taking the interdunal road and making the first left at ramp 45. Sand is soft and a really high tide can bring some water across, so be careful.

You can reach most of the north beach still as the turtle closure sizes are reasonable other than they go from dune to water.

Leaving for Hatteras next Saturday the 11th and plan on fishing south of Oregon inlet to Ocracoke...Are there any closed areas and are the areas closed for night fishing?

There might be some clouseres for turtles check at the information center when you enter the park.
