Default new to hatteras

hey guys,

im a senior at a college in va beach and mainly fish for stripers in the spring and fall at lbi in NJ and have been for 8 years. I want to get down to OBX this winter but i have no idea were to start. Can anyone give me a few pointers as to when its best to start down on the outer banks areas for stripers and maybe a few general areas to start at. Any help would be awesome! btw I plug and throw bait!

thanks

Good advice from 7n Bait. Last year was not as good as some years past. Oregon Inlet is usually good for stripers and then on down Hatteras Island in the Avon area. Two or three years ago Ocracoke was a hot spot. Just have to see what this year brings.

I should have added the Red Drum Tackle Shop board from Hatteras and the Tradewinds board from Ocracoke are good resources.
