Two drop bottom rigs tipped with shrimp or sand fleas,A carolina rig with choice of cutbait, live minnow or live shrimp.
Right now your best bet for baits are live baits such as minnows and shrimp. If you have a boat try fishing Snows Cut there are some huge Flounder around there some up to twenty Pounds I **** you not.You can find a reasonable Charter that will hook you up for sure.Main species of fish right now are Flounder,Blues, Speckled Trout,Red Drum,Spanish Mackeral,Virginia Mullett.I will I M you some tackle shops that will help you.The North End is accessible by 4x4 as is the south end and both are some good fishing spots.Have a great time down here! |

Rich,
You beat me to it! I'm a NJ guy that's going to being in Duck, NC the week of the 25th. I'm also looking for advice regarding tackle and species to target - I have experience with both bait and artificials.... So what should we expect? Thanks guys Respectfully, Joe |
