Gottachs are made in Morehead City North Carolina and are not advertized nationally. I have used them on LI with some success.

I always find it interesting we fish differently for the same fish. Fluke up north, we drift, use 3-4ft leaders and squid and spearing. Down south they anchor short leaders, smaller hooks and usually just Minnow .

i think the main reason we fish differently for the same fish is the fact that in the south we generally shallower and our fluke/flounder can be kept at a min. size of just 14 in.(i think it is somehwere like 20 in. in NJ). ppl live line bunker for fluke while in the south we live line finger mullet(smaller mullet) for bluefish, spckeld trout, and flounder. mostl ures that work up north works in the south. bombers, eventhough rarely used work well on trout as it doees on stripers up north. bluefish love poppers eventhough few fisherman use them.

in florida they use doa plastics(shrimp, paddle tails, and jerk tails), while gulp is nationwide. doa plastics are very durable compared with bass assasin and are cheaper than bass assasin(paddle tail ones) at least at bps.
