fishing should be picing up from midsummer but still hot, try pier fishing at cherry grove pier or apache. 2 hook rigs with small no. 4 hooks and shrimp on the bottom with 2 oz. sinker should land some botttom species(spot, croaker, whiting/southern kingfish, snapper blues). yse a fish finder rig with 4/0 hook with live mullet for slightly bigger blues(2 pound plus) and drum. if spansih mackerel are around use any metal under 2 oz.(xsting silvers, deadly dicks, krocs, tins, whatever you have)and got-cha plugs.

All I know is that right now, this minute....the MISS CALABASH II is on fire eighteen miles outside Little River inlet with 22 people in the water. She's gone...totally engulfed. Boats are on scene picking people up...it sounds like everyone is accounted for so far.
