Default Since I can't fish Hatteras Inlet or Cape Point looks like I'll be Pier Fishing... :O

I want my money back from Surf or Sound. Booked a house in Dec. under false pretences.

Going down with 3 families week of July 27th and I can't fish either of the two places I've fished on vacation for 15 years. This sucks.

That is how we are having to live these days.

Jerkjigger, you are correct. Don't take that too seriously , of course we're going down and will have a fun week.

My issue is, I booked the house when you were aloud to fish those areas and have for 15 years. Not only can't you drive to the point or the inlet, as I read the google maps those areas are marked in red meaning you cannot even walk out and fish there. Correct?

Mike, while I feel your pain, ya gotta make the best of it.......so try the soundside.....it's more productive out that way this time of year anyway for most stuff, and hopefully, by the time you go, the fishing over there will be better than what I experienced.....

I think you have the spots, as I am pretty sure we "talked" about them in the past.

Good luck, and have fun........

Steve is right, make the best of it. Have fun and do your thing.

Personally my dollars went to other things this year, I have the flexibility to go elsewhere so I have.........no need for me to spend all that money to not fish where I want. I feel bad for the businesses and locals there who are being hurt by the closures.

JJ

What I meant by "don't take it too seriously" was me saying I booked my house under false pretences. I was kind of kidding.

My wife, 2 boys & I will still go and have a blast. It just killed the 2 or 3 mornings that my boys, 10 and 12, always go out for donuts, a few bluefish and watch the sunrise with me. They love the point but we'll manage to have a good time for sure.

Steve/Mass,

Yes, you delivered the goods on your speck hole a few years back. Will be hitting that hole with the yak for sure this year. Thanks!!!!

yea mike i was just confussed, but it does suck that your family cant enjoy what you and others have enjoyed for years because of a few birds. its a shame what a few whack job enviromentalist can do. but if you want to get some fishing done, i would take a trip back to the sound if your able to, there has been some flounder around in some places
