sure bring the lighter weights, sometimes you can get away with 6. or if you use lighter gear you wont throw that far so you ownt need 8 or 10 usually.
Also be careful with chunking spanish trout up etc. the man frowns on that.

good to know, obviously, I am not going to break the rules, just going by what people are telling me.. Im sure Ill get the reg's when I get down there.
thanks John.. any recommendations on pier fishing? is there one better than others.. I see that most piers have "other" stuff for kids to do.. Ill have ma wife and 2 daughters with me, so if there is one with cool things to do, I guess I'd go there.. thanks again for all your help! BC

BC, I am heading down on the 18th.
Yankee invasion ![]() Bring a variety of weights, you never know what mother nature is going to do. Don't limit your sharking to just night time. Last year my biggest one came mid day. I stay off the piers, no need to pay an admission fee when the fishing is great from the sand. Good luck and have fun.

I will be on Oak Island. I think thats way south of where you are. This is a family vacation for me too. I fish and my wife collects sea shells.
Have fun
