This is my first post, so I might as well make it a controversial one or at least interesting.
It is my mission to defeat every liberal eco-wacko in every instance of life. The OVR Lawsuit settlement is the last straw for me. I am finished with being the quiet conservative outdoorsman. I’ve never protested in my life. It is not in my nature to offend others. I have used politically correct speak to not offend others. I am done with being the nice guy. Others like me will find me nice, but from this point on liberal eco-wackos will not. I am going to stick to my conservative principles and fight for my God-given rights (btw, rights don’t come from the government). I fish for just about everything that swims, and I hunt for anything edible. What I kill, I eat. I will no longer use politically correct terms like “harvest”. It is killing and eating to me. I consider myself a part of nature, not apart from nature. I provide sustenance to my family. I believe in conservation, not waste. I don’t believe in preservation because it is a waste. I am a law abiding American and I follow all of the regulations. But from now on, it is my mission to eliminate regulations and the people who make them when they infringe on my freedom, liberty and pursuit of happiness. These liberal eco-wackos have no place in public life. They have a strong hold on our schools and they are educating our children to care more about rats with wings than an outing on the beach with the family. I am starting local with my mission. I will organize like-minded people and defeat the liberal eco-wackos in our school. I will organize like-minded people to defeat our local congressman – Todd Platts (RINO). I will not hire liberals in the work place. I will seek to sabotage liberals’ progress in the work place. I have no liberal neighbors, so at least I can live in peace and harmony in my neighborhood. On the positive side of things, I will educate and take new people fishing and hunting. I show people how to clean fish, field dress, skin, hang and butcher deer. And then enjoy a fine dinner from God’s bounty. I will teach people the American outdoors tradition. This is my mission. Is it yours? Take back the beach!

Well not really.
I think you paint with too broad of a brush here. There are lots of good "liberal" ideas. I am firmly in favor of conservation and green healthy living. But I did vote for Bush, and will vote for Anybodybuthillary. Am I a liberal? It's not really the "wackos", it's the existing laws. And they have great lawyers, that's what they do. To take back the beach you really need to fix the laws, and that will fix the problem. But does any politician have enough (insert your favorite manly noun here)s to initiate legislation to fix the flaws in the engangered species act? Probably not. Gl, Steve |

Not sure what that means.
My tone is more like Howard the Duck anyway. Anyway let me restate my point. As evil as the "wackos" are, they are only able to do their dirty work because of the way that the current legislation is worded. IMO the real solution is to clarify / fix the laws under which this was done. Where are your NC Senators and Representatives? Bunch of pansy chickensh## cowards. They need to introduct legislation to rectify the CHNRA tragedy. Steve Last edited by Steve Coleman : 05-05-2008 at 02:27 PM. |
