I'm going to a big family get together in the Corolla area this coming August and I was hoping to escape in the evenings/mornings to do some fishing from the surf. I was wondering what might be running in that area.

Not a big fan of that area in the summer time. You could head further south and fish some piers in KDH or Nags Head or if you had a 4x4 you could drive up to Corolla and drive the beach at low tide and look for sloughs.
There may be some snapper blues, spike trout, small croaker or spot. Still, any fishing is good fishing... ![]() |
