Wilmington NC help needed

I've got a job that will take me to Wilmington, NC from mid February to the end of April. I'm hoping to stay near Wrightsville Beach. The last time I was there (12yrs ago) I fished from Johnny Mercers pier but that was about it. This time I'm looking for some recommendations.

What can I expect to catch from the beach this time of year? What rigs, baits, or plugs should I bring?

Can someone recommend a guide for a local boat trip?

Can someone recommend a good bait and tackle shop?

Thats a bad time of year around here for fishing.Its still too cold,If you wer to charter a boat you would have to go to the Gulf Stream which is about four hours away.As for tackle shops TWs on Eastwood road is three miles before Wrightsville beach.You can also checkout Bridgetender Marina right at the drawbridge.
