Default Another fishing report II

Just as Poppy reported.....

Returned home last night.
Chunked the dark, yaked the light, even took Holy Cows contender out of OI and ran to the monument........nada.

Lots of ganet action with no bass under them. Some big blues thats it.
Rubber, jigging metal, eels, bucktails......looks like another year of the main school of bass staging off of Va. for the winter.

We did mark fish of the bottom, pretty sure they were dogfish after 4 hours of trying everything.

One big sandbar shark on the chunk from the point was the only thing that pulled the 1502............oh well hope this trend will changes in 2008.

Good fishing,
Terry

Don't feel bad... We went down for a few days and between me and my brother we caught about 40 nice sized but yes dogfish. Had maybe one real striper runoff chunking but missed the hook set. We plugged the when the water was clean enough, chunked it dirty and at night, hit the inlet jetty day and night. Nodda. I did witness one guy catch a striper on trout gear(mirro lure) that was maybe 15-18 pounds. Nice fight for the setup he was using. The weather was decent but again i felt like a fool driven 8 hours down........ I did stop in the OI fishing center and saw some nice tuna and some stripers get unloaded. Slow is the only way to describe the fishing for the past week.

Just got back tonight from 3 days of Dog fish. If you go bring your bait they have NOTHING THERE as of this mourning when I left Frisco and Avon.
