Default Fishing Report...

I fished day and night this past Tuesday - Friday… Weather was mostly good and water temps in the mid 50’s

In a word, fishing was slow ...

Two Stripers on lures—34” and 37”…both released.

I am waiting for this blow to pass through and then I am planning to try again…

The fish were caught at and south of the inlet...Sting Silver (Blue) and BeachMaster Needle Fish (eel)...

Looks like the winds are dropping out some through most of the week...I am heading out in the morning...hopefully the fishing (catching) will be better than last week...

Hey Poppy,

I got a report last night of a 68lber being caught off the surf up near the inlet. Have you heard anything about it, as I don;t see anything posted as of yet.

I hope that you are successful with the remaining time.

Default 68lber

Kip,
I believe you may have heard of a 68er caught last year just off of Oregon Inlet. If I find the article I will post it. The biggest I've heard confirmed this year is 50 lber that was weighed at Frank and Frans in Avon. I would would be happy with that fish.
Cheers,

At least you caught something worth while on your trip. I did a one day suicide run and got nothing but a bunch of dogfish (spiny and smooth) on almost every cast at the hook, and on the OI catwalk..
