I went The 12th to the 15th of OCT. Caught lots of flounder and blues.
The grass was much better than the reports I have heard. It seemed to be worse at lowtide. From time to time it would make bottom fishing a little hard but all and all it wasn't bad. We also caught some Pompano a couple small false Albacore. No drum to be had. Saw to at the fish cleaning station and that was it. Everyone I talked to was catching basically the same thing. The mullet were running good in the surf and sound you could cast net as much as you needed for bait. The Flounder really loved the Gulp Shrimp. The weather was fantastic. Met some real nice folks on the beach. Had a great time I hope to go back in the spring. |

Thanks for the report. It has been a few years since my last visit to the island. We used to go over every year for a family reunion/fishing trip, but as many of the older members have died, and the younger ones don't seem to be as interested, it kind of fell apart. PI will always be aspecial place. Again, thanks for the report and glasd that you caught some fish.
