Fish the inlets or Cape Point at first light and I mean 5:00 a.m. - 7:00 then go home. Hatteras or Oregon Inlet. Throw metal or white and white/pink stingsilvers. 1-2 oz. Bait shops sell them. You should get some blues and or spanish mackeral.

After that in the surf throw light tackle for kingfish or croakers with small pieces of squid. Rigs with small hooks and about 2-3 oz weights. Sometime some flounder as well if you fish the squid on the bottom in the trough right off the surf.

Big fish???? I like to hook one or two cownose rays a week and let them thrill me with a 60 second spooling.

Good luck.
