Default Drum bite

I'm in touch with my brother mikey and nephew 7nbait they have been catchin the drum. No it's not on the tackle shop reports. If you see them please be sure to cast over their lines and tell them I said hi. If you use braid you get extra points.

Ok here's the goods.Fished with 3 days of east wind. I thought It was
going to be all bluefish. Wrong. Steve was right about the drum showing up
at night. Everybody leaves when it gets dark .
Anyway, 9pm to 3 am. every night on schedule.
7 Drum total between the 2 of us. All in the 40 lb. range.
Water temp was 72. Here's one of mine.

You are evil!

Until I saw your post, I had convinced myself (over years) that big drum only bite for a week in October (when I am there). Now you have burst my bubble and got my adrenaline going. However, I will have to wait 5 whole months before I can satisfy my thirst for big drum fishing. I don't know whether I can take it.

Seriously, nice fish!

Sorry, I have been away for a few days in Delaware. The pomp was caught
on sandfleas. Bloodworms were gone in minutes.

Found it. You mean this 52 incher from 1997 that he cut in half. No doubt a SR back then when the record was still 44lbs.
