Hatteras Outfitters are they still in business??

I placed an order via the internet with Hatteras Outfitters. I did get an emailed confirmation but the order hasn't showed up in 3 weeks. All my phone messages and emails have gone un-answered. As I am in New England I have no way of knowing if they are even still in business. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I placed an order last week and have not gotten a reply I posted on another forum and several people came back with very negative things to say about the store if I were you i would look elsewhere

Not to be negative and bash the store but I will not buy anything from him anymore

Tres Erby is a stand up guy and he has a large following of Surf Casters that use him soley as there source of equipment.
This is the hight of the season down on the OBX and if you ordered reels he customizes each one as the orders come in. If you are in a rush give him a chance,because once you get what your orderd you will be very pleased.
This same post came up last spring and you will here from people like my self that have his equipment that as a small shop of CUSTOM TACKLE to build what you ordered take time this is not a major manuf. firm,but a guy who builds greate stuff at a reasonabel price that will last a life time.

there is a 3 or 4 page thread about this store on another fishing board. Several, several folks are waiting 3-6 months for custom stuff and a month or two for standard in stock items. No returned email/phone. I know i have an outstanding order that is 4 months ++ old. It sounds like Tres is a good guy and all, but he cant keep up with his buisness. If you dont mind waiting months and months and months and months and months, then order. If you need something by this fall- DONT. I think he runs a real crappy business.
