I'm heading down this weekend, anything going on around Oregon Inlet right now? I'm not talking about the surf, I won't be able to this time. From the boat inshore around Oregon INlet.

i was down there about 3 yrs ago in sept when the barge was going to be swept into the bridge. bridge was closed for 4-6 hrs we were trying to go home. so after stomping and jumping for 5 minutes we looked on the west side of the bridge and blues and bass were hammering mullet. fished for the rest of the time the bridge was closed and had a ball...

We just got back from a week there. Went out last Tuesday 5-1-07 on Miss Oregon Inlet and everyone caught fish unfortunatley most were very little. Blues, Weakies, Whiting etc.. Good time had by all but not much for the dinner table.
Have a great time and good luck! |

I didn't get a chance to fish Oregon Inlet due to heavy winds, but I did get a chance to fish Ocracoke. I had one great pickup in Ocracoke Inlet and had a little bit of a fight before the line knicked the prop

Was down in Wanchese/Maneto the weekend of 5/5 & 5/6. Was able to get offshore through Oregon Inlet on 5/5. Slow day, 2 mahi, 1 wahoo 1.5 yellowfin & 1 free gaffed mako (the mako took the other.5 of the tuna). Sunday 5/6 we were blown out.
