Will be down visiting my folks 1st week of may, What gonna be runnin'?

I am by no means an authority on the OBX but i was there a few years ago the 1st week in may and was pretty bummed out with the fishing. The only things i saw caught were a blue, puffer fish, mullet and some skates and rays. I was told i missed the stripers and they werent lying.

Just got back from Avon NC, blowfish,skates ,sharks from beach. Offshore charter on Biteme out of hatteras harbor-48 lb wahoo,blackfin tuna,yellowfin tuna

Hey Phins420 the wife and I will be down that week as well. First time for us, I figure to do a lot of surf fishing and a few open boat runs. We will be down mostly to relax, if you want to catch up for a beer or a session let me know.

Check out the NC waterman site before you go. They post what is going on every week and have a list of shops that can give you details for the area you will be visiting.

Thanks WV! Will do! We head out on Sunday I can't wait to get away from it all for a week, catching fish will be an added bonus!
