Hey guys-

I'm starting to gather as much information as possible on the possibilities that exist on the OBX / SOBX between 23 February and 26 March. I'll be home from Iraq and these are the dates of my post-deployment block leave.

I'm trying to put together a trip for a few of us to do some fishing, kayaking and camping...just some time to unwind and get away from everything for a bit.

How is the inshore fishing during this time? If anyone has any recommendations about where to go (Cape Lookout, Ocracoke, etc) based upon personal experience, I'd love to hear your thoughts and suggestions.

Joe,Thats a bad time anywhere on the Carolina Coast for anything,fishing ,camping ect.Hopefully theres Spring break around that time and there might be some split tails to chase.It might be a good time for a road trip to Myrtle Beach.

That is not the best time in the world, but it might work out fine. Visit the link below for daily/monthly archived fishing reports from Ocracoke Island and see what others caught in Feb & March. You'll see some pretty nice fish caught. Unlike many tackle shop reports, the ones from this shop are reliable. Use this link:
