Default Cape Lookout in Oct

I have been fishing on the Core Banks for a long time. I try and go down twice a year with a group of people I have know since I was in my Teens.
Over the last few years the participation from this group has fallen off.

I have tried fishing Hatteras Point to get my fishing fix,but it is not the same.
So what I have done is made a Reservation at the Fishing Camp on Cape Lookout for Oct. 15 to the 19th in a cabin that fits 8 people. We only have 2 people (possibly 3) to spend from Sunday till Thursday. This beach you won't belive with all the fishing room you will .( I better stop. Its something you have to see to belive.)
Derf and Deb are bringing there camper over on Monday the 16th and staying till the 19th in the camper so that still leaves 5 to 6 beds available.
If you have any intrest and can get away for that week PM me and I will fill you in on the $ and .00 etc.

Default Core Banks

I've been to Core Banks many times, but its been a few years. In mid-October, its a surf fisherman's Heaven. Generally, shorts and barefoot all day and then lightwieght waders at night when fishing. My first BIG Drum came from Core Banks.

Chuck, things don't look promising , but if something changes, I'll be sending you a message and hoping to join ya.

Cool Details so far

I have reserved cabin # 12 at the Great Island Camp on Cape Lookout.
This cabin sleeps 8,amd runs $130.00 a night. They have hot water, gas stoves, bunks and shower and head. You supply the cooking equip, lights (laterns) bed linnens if you chose.
I have 2 spots reserved for the 1 pm ferry on Sunday the 15th. There is a 14.00 fee for each adult that rides over to the Island, besides the fee for the truck. One truck can support about 5 guys.( I have an 8 rod rack on the front, and can hold 6 on top rack.)
Everyone chips in to cover food, drinking water, beverages of choice ,bait, ice and what ever else we need.

Fred and Deb will be there starting Monday the 16th staying in there camper, John M has expressed intrest and I have given him the same info I am giving you.
.
I will be coming along with my neighbor for a confirmed 2 leaving cabin space for 6 people.
The fishing in the past 10 years has been 13 to 15 lbs Blues, 6 to 7 lbs Black Drum,Sea bass, King or sea mullet,Speckeled trout, and Puppy Drum from 18 to 28 inches, also assorted shark.
Please get back to me.

Man,
I would go but I also have a group that has gotten larger over the years! We now take up 2 cabins. Sorry that yours is going the other way. We will be a couple weeks behind you.

For those thinking about this, jump on it. It is a great fishing fix.
