Default Epoxy substitute

A while back you guys were let in on a product being developed as an epoxy substitute. I can NOW say that I endorse the "stuff". It is available now on-line.

A young kid named Rob who works in a shop in Natick, MA said that he had spent some time down there and that you were using something new that you kept in a black bottle until things got worked out. Is this the stuff he was referring to? He said it was basically a one part epoxy.

Don't bet on it.

P.S. Your fishing days are almost over anyway.

A little expensive but I'll give it a try.

Whoa! A lot more expensive than a $9 box of 7 minute epoxy! I can't think of why I'd need a $50/$79 kit to do the same thing in less than 7 minutes that my 7 minute epoxy does. Seven minutes really isn't a long time to get the results we're looking for in a surf candy construction. I'm sure we're all looking forward to comments from everyone who has tried this new application regarding whether they feel it's worth this extra expense versus the results they got previously with the 7 minute epoxy.

Default epoxy substitute

Once you try it, you probably won't ever go back to epoxy. It's fast, lighter than epoxy, stronger than epoxy, clearer, won't turn yellow, more direct control applying it. An experienced tier can make about twenty surf candies in an hour with Tuffleye. There is also no mixing, NO WASTE, easy clean up, no obnoxious odor either! It's probably more reasonable to use Tuffleye for epoxy applications than buying flourocarbon leader material or super braids for their respective applications. I HIGHLY recommend any fly tier that ties epoxies to try this Tuffleye stuff before you form any lasting impressions or opinions. Yes, sure, it sounds more expensive than epoxy, but you only have to buy the light once, and after that, the Tuffleye stuff comes out ahead, way ahead, all things considered. I never had any problems with epoxy in the past, wether it took too long to make, smelled too raunchy, turned yellow or whatever. All I am saying here is that this stuff is not only a substitute for epoxy but even BETTER than! I doubt that I'll ever use any epoxy for my fleyes again, but epoxy has served me well in the past and it still is a great substance to have for tying flies. Like I always have said in the past, find out for sure on YOUR terms, not someone elses. I am only the messenger here. I do not receive any payment for my endorsement of Tuffleye and wether you get the stuff or not, that is entirely up to you. Good luck everyone. flysully, I really recommend you get the tuffleye, you won't be disappointed. This will add to your enjoyment of the sport. See you soon hopefully.

Have to agree with flysully that it appears to be alot of dough
for an epoxy applicant. Shelf life appears to be not too long. I think
some tying demostrations throughout the Metro area would be in order
for this new product ! Does it come with a "More and bigger fish Guarantee"???
