I am headed to Salvo next week. I will be fishing from shore. Would you recomend fishing day or night for shark and cobia. I plan to soak bait and throw bucktails and spoons until my arm gets tired. Any tips on which baits to use would be great! I plan to soak mullet currently.
Also, am I allowed to have the Jeep on the beach at night if I am fishing? Thanks! |

Sharks seem to be bigger and closer from dusk to dawn although they can be caught anytime of day as Derf mentioned. Cobia are strictly daytime to maybe 1 hour after dark.
Throw the biggest bait you can at night with wire leaders and heavy rub lines. Try large circle hooks with with mono during the day for cobia. gary |
