Default cool sports nicknames..........

Top 10 cool athlete nicknames from MSN Sports:

.
10. Willie Mays, "The Say Hey Kid"

9. Red Grange, "The Galloping Ghost"

— so named because he was too elusive to be caught by opposing players — was off and running.

8. Frank "The Big Hurt" Thomas

7. Joe DiMaggio, "The Yankee Clipper"

DiMaggio is the holder of two nicknames, as he's also called "Joltin' Joe." "

6. "Pistol" Pete Maravich

5. Karl Malone, "The Mailman"

4. Ted Williams, "The Splendid Splinter"

Charles Barkley was a great player at Auburn before he went to the NBA.He was known as "The Round Mound of Rebound" or "The Leaning Tower of Pizza" when he was a student at the Prettiest Villiage on the Plains.WAR EAGLE....let's eat!
O.J.Simpson="Juice on the Loose".Seems kinda appropriate now haha.
"The Splended Splinter" is my all time favorite.
"PeeWee" was a good baseball name.So was "Babe".

Wasn't Charles Barkley also known as, "The Round Mound of Rebound"?

And not so much as a nickname but a title, "The Greatest" is what Muhammad Ali is!
