drums from the beach

coming up from morehead in april can anyone give me any info on a good spot to catch some nice drum and throw a tent on the beach for a few nights, and the best time off the beach this month. any help would be great.

There is nowhere on HI to throw a tent(for a couple of days). It a National park, camping is in campgrounds only. Drum should be in by the middle to late April, that is, many, and consistintly. The main places are Hatteras inlet, south beaches, point, north beaches, piers, Oregon inlet, ect. Most of the big-uns will be taken at night on either a falling tide or a rising one.
