Cape Hatteras KOA?

Have any of you guys stayed at the Cape Hatteras KOA? Is there decent fishing within walking distance from the campground? I am meeting a buddy of mine down there in late May to do some surf and kayak fishing. What should I expect to find in the surf and sound? I know a lot of questons but I am really geeked to get some rust on my pliers!

With the KOA but thats the time when COBIA are hitting the beaches!

think the KOA is is Salvo or Rodnathe--decent sound side fishing ---miles of grass beds and sloughs

I always hear about cobia off the beaches up there when the water warms. I would try the point, paddle out some baits for cobes.......

My two cents. KOA is in rodanthe just past camp hatteras. we stay at camp hatteras becse the facilities are nicer with an indoor pool and slabs for camping on with the camper. we mentio the koa card and get the 10% discount. Very happy with them. Scott
