Default obx wedding

I'm gonna be the best man in a wedding in the middle of sept. I don't have a ton of time, but I am going to try and put a trip together for a group of guys. I've already been told I can not head offshore - or else! What are my options. I'm gonna prob. throw my yak on my truck, any chance at some bass in close? I hate to admit it, but I've never been there before - and man am I psyched! Gonna prob. bring a little of everything. 2hand 8wt, 10wt., surf sticks, light spins etc.

Bonner Bridge over Oregon Inlet. If you have 4WD drive out to the pilings on the North side. With standard tackle cast 1-3oz bucktails w/grubs,porkrind just up current and drift them into the scour holes around the bases of them. Swim baits work well to. Be prepaired to loose some lures, the current is swift, & the fish hold tight to the pilings. The same thing can be done at both bridges from Manteo to Manns Harbor.
