Fighting belt? What kind of rod was the guy fishing?

Nice fish. I wonder if Mr. Mom is getting them.

I dunno but that guy looks pretty scary to me.

If you see him be sure to lock up the women and children in a safe place.

He must use a rod with a pretty short butt.

Mike, I got no meat on my pelvic bones so I use the belt for the plate not the holder. You need a real short butt for that. I nest the rod handle against the outside of the holder and the plate. After 4 days of steady castin and winding with an occasional fish I used to get so sore it wasn't much fun fishin in pain so I need that plate. Looks pretty wussified but don't care what it looks like as long as I am not in pain. I sure don't wear it to look cool as it looks quite the opposite. Wished I didn't need it cause it sure looks stupid from here.

Wasn't trying to poke fun at ya, just curious I was wondering if maybe you were using a tournament casting rod. Fortunately or unfortunately I have plenty of built in padding around the mid-section.

Nice fish by the way. Makes me wish I had made the ride this past weekend.

No I realized that Mike. It just looks so idiotic for the surf I always feel the need to explain it.

Dave, grind the rod holder off and wear it under your waders or you could just leave the holder on and really freak some people out, you can just say you really love to fish! LOL!
