Chances are I'll be stayin in Camp Hatteras for a few days......great p/g for the kids....and my wife will be along this time so they can use the pool too......
I had trouble finding good bait in December close to camp and will be fishing there a lot, as well as maybe running to the inlet if nothins cookin near camp.... Any help on where to shop would be really appreciated...... |

hatteras jacks should be open , reddrum is open , don't know if frank and frans is ...
personally i would just stock up , bait will keep for a couple of days  derf

Think may have hit a bad week last time derf...I stopped by HJ's almost everyday and hit a couple others.....I was told the bait boats where fishin stripers commercialy instead of fishin for bait so nobody was gettin bait.....if the places you mentioned normally have it sounds like it wont be a problem

We were talking about bait last night. The last 18 months or so bait has been tough. I think its mostly a result of the bait guys n ot making much money. bunker a 1$ a pound is great but it can be hard to get. Id be fine paying 2$ a pound if we had a readily avialble supply.
Frank is open btw.

 on harbor tackle ...but they don't stay open late  usually hit there after 9 ...... -------------------------- i still say some who would open a tackle shop on the road into ai (611 ??) would make a killing if they went after the business derf
